Kari Traa

Kari Traa clothing is one of the fastest-growing brands in women’s sportswear. Founded by the former Olympic freestyle skiing gold medalist Kari Traa, the clothing is characterized by its strong colors, recognizable design and the best technical quality. The Norwegian company is best known for its Kari Traa jackets, fleeces and tights but also makes a range of ski clothing.

During her professional skiing days, Kari Traa would always knit ski wear during breaks between training and competing and share it with friends and fellow skiers. Realizing there was a market for her creations, in 2002 Traa decided to turn her hobby into a business. She saw that the majority of skiwear at the time was designed for men, and wanted to create clothing that perfectly fits the female body while fulfilling the needs for an adventure lifestyle.

From there the brand was born and has since gone from strength to strength as it has established itself across Europe and North America.
